It can be used to carry your daily stuff. It can be in vintage brown or black leather, may be with initials embossed or embroidered. You can have a satchel with internal pockets, side or front pockets with handles, buckles, brass fittings and clips.  It is a unisex piece of leather and can be used by both sexes. Satchel has a soft side to it.
This piece of leather bag dates back to Roman times. It was used to store personal stuff and food rations. Romans called it loculus – little place. It is used to store essentials and keep them safe but it is rarely used to carry books. After Shakespeare mentioned in As you Like it. It is easy to buy a bunch bag for school and university. Shakespeare even refers to a ‘whining school-boy, with his satchel’ in his play ‘As You Like It’ but it wasn’t until the 50’s and 60’s leather satchel became a staple for British children. This bag can be called a classic.
The vintage collection combines British style with traditional leather making processes deep rooted in Indian culture. The satchel can be in neutral colors but you can add colors to keep the bags looking interesting.
The typical satchel seen at Oxfrod and Cambridge has s simple front flap. There are variations to the bag which includes  a single  or double pockets maybe on top of the bag. The bag had two straps which allowed it to be carried like a backpack.
